Sportsweeks.net Multi-Sport Holiday Courses
Each course will comprise of children being placed into groups according to their age and ability. Mini-Soccer, Short Tennis, Cricket, Athletics, Basketball, Unihoc, Pop Lacrosse, Gymnastics, Tri-Golf and Indoor/Outdoor Games are just some of the sports undertaken.
Format
The courses are open to boys and girls aged between 4 and 14. The children are placed into groups according to their age and ability. The more advanced children will play full versions of the sport, whilst the very young will undertake the sports with the emphasis on their own individual co-ordination/motor skills.
Awards
There will be a presentation on the last morning/afternoon of each course, when children participating will receive certificates and prizes/awards will be presented to the children that each of the coaches believe have made a valuable contribution to the week.
Early Morning Drop-Off/Working Parents Late Pick-Up
For working parents, there is an Early Morning Drop-Off facility so children can be dropped off early in the morning, and The Late Pick-Up facility so children can be picked up later on into the evening. Times and prices are available on the dates & booking page.
Discipline
It is our intention to make sure that all children on the course enjoy themselves and gain the maximum benefit from the experience. It is to these purposes that we look upon discipline as a key factor of the weeks. PLEASE NOTE: We shall have no hesitation in immediately escorting home a child we feel is either disruptive or not suited to the course.
Kit/Equipment.
A warm P.E. kit with tracksuit/jogging suit is advisable, with clean trainers/pumps. Drinks/ snacks are also required, as there will be morning and afternoon breaks. For children on full days a packed lunch is required. Refreshments are on sale at each Recreation Centre. Children are welcome to bring their own rackets/bats for cricket or tennis, but nothing else. All other equipment is provided.
