Sportsweeks Mini Coaching Centres
It has now been recognised that there is a need for younger children to have a similar set-up to the Sportsweeks Junior Coaching Centres in order to prepare them for moving onto the Junior Centres, so we introduced the Sportweeks Mini Centres for children between 3 to 5 years of age.
The Format
The main difference is that the parents have to participate with their child in the delivery of the sessions, whilst under the supervision and guidance of an FA qualified coach.
The sessions last for an hour, indoors, with the children being shown fun games and skills, to improve their motor skills/co-ordination skills, balance, confidence and flexibility whilst gradually learning the basics of the game, with scaled down rules, equipment and playing areas, in order to maximise their individual involvement and participation.
Parents should note that they are responsible for the supervision of their own individual child at all times and because of the content of the course they should be physically fit and dressed appropriately in order to participate in all activities with their child.
The courses run in blocks and a place must be reserved, although we operate on a pay-as-you-play basis, paying for the weeks of attendance only. The fee is £5 per session.
